Scott Veitch recently took his Greenhouse and Floriculture class HORT 0201 & 2010 on a field trip to Forest Glen Greenhouse on Nov 21st.
Forest Glen Greenhouses grow poinsettias for the Superstores in the Maritime region.
The purpose of the field trip was to look at a commercial greenhouse operation and to expose students to an actual greenhouse operation and to see the crop first hand. The trip also gave the students an opportunity to ask the grower any questions and investigate possible employment over the summer as Forest Glen Greenhouses employees several students over the summer months.
