The Faculty of Agriculture is seeking nominations for our awards honouring our faculty, staff, and community.

Last week the Faculty of Agriculture celebrated the success of student award recipients, and honoured the donors that make possible these scholarships and bursaries.

Solomon Demeke, poultry scientist at Jimma University College of Agriculture and Veterinary medicine in Ethiopia will be awarded an Honorary Doctorate by 好色谷鈥檚 Faculty of Agriculture during its annual Convocation ceremony, Friday, May 9th 2014.

Dr. Caldwell to receive two prestigious awards from the Canadian Seed Growers Association

The Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence and the Internationalization Award were presented during the inaugural Tribute Awards Ceremony as part of Convocation celebrations.

This scholarship is presented to a Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture student with a demonstrated interest in pursuing the study of poultry.

Katherine Stirling, Gagetown, NB, a third year B.Sc.(Agr.) Plant Science student, was the 2012 recipient of the $1,000 NBIA scholarship

The scholarship is awarded to a student who intends to pursue a career as a professional agrologist. Selection is based on academic performance, and university and community involvement.

Stephen Clark, Professor of Economics, received an award from the Czech University of Life Sciences for his outstanding contribution to the building of the Faculty of Economics and Management.
