Shelley Denny, Fish-WIKS Steering Committee member and PhD student, along with several Dalhousie scholars took part in a聽public panel聽which explored the economic, ecological, social and cultural ties that have shaped Canada鈥檚 interactions with the ocean since Confederation in 1867.The panel was part of a larger three-day event called聽聽put on by the Social Sciences and Humanities Oceans Research and Education network. Supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), the forum also included workshops and short-film screenings.
