Insight Central Europe
6.7.2002 - David Vaughan
Coming up in this weekend's edition of Insight Central Europe: the row over
the post-war expulsion of Germans has spilled over from the Czech Republic
to Poland after Germany's conservative candidate for Chancellor, Edmund
Stoiber, called on Poland to annul the decrees that sanctioned the
expulsions. We'll be looking at the latest developments, and we'll bring you
a report from the Czech town of Liberec that used to be almost entirely
German speaking. Also in the programe, there'll be a report on the problems
faced by Austria's small wine growers since the country joined the EU, and
we'll be looking at a Slovak scheme to save the country's castles by selling
them off cheaply.
