Another year, another successful Crossroads Interdisciplinary Health Research conference. The student-led, national academic conference is now in its 17th year, and took place from March 15-16 at the Halifax Central Library. The jam-packed conference featured mini course sessions, panel discussions on basic income and health, and human health and the ocean, a research presentation competition in collaboration with Brain Awareness Week, poster presentations and a keynote address from听Dr. Gaynor Watson Creed, Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Health.
The conference featured 155 research presentations from a wide range of health-related disciplines from across the country. Co-chairs Madison MacQuarrie and Sara Brushett led the conference organizers, the Graduate Student Society from the School of Health and Human Performance, in planning and implementing the conference. 听The theme this year was 鈥淕rowing the Future of Collaborative Health.鈥 Congratulations to everyone involved in this exceptional event!
